Flower Booth at the
Stonington Village Fair
At the annual Stonington Village Fair on the first Saturday of each August, the club hosts a booth that sells floral arrangements and plants. Proceeds support the maintenance of the COMO Children's Learning Garden.
Since 1926, the club has had a lasting impact in our community.
Holiday Greens
Every December, club members gather a variety of evergreens from local gardens to create unique arrangements, adorned with festive carnations, which are then delivered to multiple area care facilities.
Library Flowers
Each week, from spring to fall, the Stonington Free Library receives a floral arrangement created by a club member. Our flowers sit at the front desk of the library for all visitors to enjoy.
Deck the Walls
Deck the Walls is a fundraising event to benefit the Stonington Historical Society (SHS). It is co-sponsored with leadership from both SGC and SHS. Individuals, local merchants, garden clubs, and other organizations are solicited for decorated wreaths, which are displayed for sale. A Preview Party is held the night before the Stonington Borough Holiday stroll. For more information about Deck the Walls and the Stonington Historical Society please go to www.stoningtonhistory.org
Winter Wreaths
The club provides beautifully decorated wreaths during the holidays for the Stonington Free Library, the Lighthouse museum, the Captain Palmer House Museum, the Stonington COMO, and the Borough Post Office.
