October 24, 2021 Saturday 1 pm, on ZOOM

Theme for Bench Show – – The Awe of Autumn: This virtual workshop will be hosted by Photography Chair, Jill Corr and committee members Dodie Bump and Laura Frommer. The workshop will give our members the tools they need to enter their photographs in the November 11 Bench Show – The Awe of Autumn. It will consist of a slide presentation and three short videos featuring elements of basic iPhone photography skills and iPhone camera setting requirements. Although presented as a webinar there will be ample time for questions and discussion. Basic components of this workshop will include the following:

1. How to focus using an iPhone
2. How to adjust for exposure using an iPhone
3. Understanding the camera lenses of an iPhone
4. Understanding composition of a photograph through use of lines and
shapes.
5. How to submit a Photo Entry to the November 11 Virtual Photo Bench Show.

The instructor and Photography Committee members will offer examples from their own photography libraries to illustrate each point of discussion.

March 27, 2021 Saturday 1 pm, ZOOM
This workshop will focus on Macro-Photography. Included in the virtual slide show/webinar will be a tutorial on how to shoot close-up photographs of botanicals and other objects using an iPhone. The “portrait” feature of an iPhone will also be explained with suggestions on how this can enhance close up shots.
