Daffodil Flower Show and Celebration
April 2025

Use this link to explore everything you need to know about showing daffodils. The folder will be updated throughout the year.

Plant Daffodils Now!

On April 10, 2025, we will celebrate the glorious daffodils in the cove at the Captain Nathaniel Palmer House in Stonington. As part of the celebration, we will exhibit some of our own homegrown specimens. Plant some in your yard, in containers or wait until the new year and try your hand at forcing bulbs. We handed out bulbs at our November Membership meeting for a container-grown club challenge.

For early April blooms, please plant Trumpet and Large-Cupped daffodils. Some suggestions: Ice Follies, Jetfire, Barret Browning, Marieke, Orange Comet, Snow Baby, Carleton, and Rip Van Winkle.

"A collaboration with The Garden Club of America (GCA) has resulted in nearly 5,000 gardens being documented by GCA member clubs throughout the U.S. for The Garden Club of America Collection at AAG." - Garden Club of America

The Stonington Garden Club has documented six gardens for the Collection, five of which are our very own members. Tap below to discover more about them.
