Floral Design: Carnival!
Class I: Carnevali di Venezia
This centuries old carnival is known for its elegant costumes and beautiful medieval masks.
Create a miniature or small arrangement in a container of your choice. Artificial elements, for example glitter or jewelry, may be incorporated into the design. No artificial plant material may be used. Plant material can be locally grown (preferred) or purchased from a florist. Finished arrangement, including underlays and design, must not exceed 10” in height or width. To be viewed from all sides.
Class II: Mardi Gras in NOLA
“Let the good times roll” – Traditional New Orleans jazz is heard non-stop as dozens of decorated floats roll through the French Quarter. “Krewes” on the floats are draped with purple and gold beads which they toss to the cheering crowds.

Design a floral Mardi Gras float using a container of your choice. Fresh and dried plant material. No artificial plant material may be used. Plant material can be locally grown (preferred) or purchased from a florist. Artificial elements may be used. Underlays and accessories are permitted but not required. The design cannot exceed 16” tall x 24” wide. To be viewed on all sides.
