Gardens by the Sea/ Public Events

Stonington Garden ToursStonington Garden Club cordially invites you to Gardens by the Sea, our triennial tour on June 9 and 10, 2017. This easy self-guided walking tour will feature a hand picked collection of rarely seen gardens behind the walls and gates of Stonington’s historic properties. Both Friday and Saturday the hours are 10am- 4pm.

New this year! Artists in the Garden. Visitors to the 2017 Gardens by the Sea Tour will have the unique opportunity to experience gardens as artistic inspiration. Weather permitting a broad representation of local “en plain air” artists will be painting in select gardens to enhance you enjoyment of the tour.

In addition, a tented Marketplace in historic Wadawanuck Square will showcase a variety of vendors offering home and garden décor, tools, clothing, accessories and crafts. Stonington Village restaurants and charming shops welcome you for coffee, dining, gifts, fashion and more.

Please be mindful: No strollers or high heels inside the gardens. All gardens are located at private homes. Not all are handicap accessible. The tour brochure will note accessible gardens. The Celebrity Luncheon at Stonington Harbor Yacht Club is fully handicap accessible!

Special Event Friday Only!

The lecture/luncheon is SOLD OUT but tour tickets are still available. Please consider dining in any of the Boro’s wonderful restaurants.
